Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Exam.

To be eligible to apply for SSC CGL 2024, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Educational Qualification.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Age Limit for SSC CGL Exam.

The age limit varies for different posts under SSC CGL. Generally, the age limit is 18-32 years as on 1st August 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved category candidates.

Selection Process of SSC CGL Exam.

The SSC CGL exam consists of two tiers:

  1. Tier-1 (Computer Based Examination): Tier-1 is an objective multiple-choice exam conducted online. It consists of four sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section is allotted 25 questions carrying 50 marks. The total duration is 60 minutes.
  2. Tier-2 (Computer Based Examination): Candidates who qualify Tier-1 are shortlisted for the Tier-2 exam. It consists of four papers:

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2024.

The application process for SSC CGL 2024 will be completely online. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to fill the online application form once the notification is released:

  1. Visit the official website of SSC – https://ssc.nic.in/
  2. Click on the ‘Apply’ link under the SSC CGL 2024 section
  3. Click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in basic details like name, date of birth, email id, mobile number to generate a Registration Number and Password.
  4. Login using the Registration Number and Password.
  5. Fill the online application form with personal, communication, educational and other required details.
  6. Upload scanned copies of photograph and signature as per specifications.
  7. Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit/debit card, UPI etc. General/OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- while SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted.
  8. Preview and verify all details carefully and submit the form.
  9. Take a printout of the application form and fee receipt for future reference.

The application fee is non-refundable. Be careful while filling the form as no corrections are allowed after submission. In case of multiple registrations, the latest registration will be considered.
