The elementary and special education blended degree program utilizes a variety of coursework in foundations, technology, bilingual education, special education, reading and elementary education to provide you with a wealth of diverse experiences to help prepare you for the 21st century elementary general education or special education classroom. The emphasis of the elementary and special education program is to prepare you to facilitate learning for students in the elementary grades (K-8) as well as to educate students with special needs (PreK-12).

As an ENMU student, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in various campus and discipline-related organizations. You are encouraged to join content area professional organizations. Organizations are available in all content areas at the national level with some organizations having state and local chapters as well.
